Chart topping rapper Dizzee Rascal leads an eclectic array of artists announced for OXEGEN today.  Dizzee’s scored three UK No.1 hits with the massive singles ‘Bonkers’, ‘Dance Wiv Me’ and ‘Holiday’ and his inspired recent collaboration with Florence + The Machine, ‘You Got The Dirtee Love’, has won him even more fans.

Fans of The Strokes will be thrilled that the band’s charismatic front man Julian Casablancas is coming to OXEGEN.  His brilliant debut solo album ‘Phrazes For The Young’ once again proves that he’s one of the most gifted songwriters of his generation and he’s sure to be a huge hit at the festival this year.

The talented singer songwriter Laura Marling received a Mercury Award nomination for her debut album and she’s just released her second album ‘I Speak Because I Can’ to widespread critical acclaim including 5 star reviews in The Irish Times and The Guardian.

Back at OXEGEN for the first time since 2007, Jamie T is an artist who combines searing lyrical honesty with real originality.  His second album ‘Kings and Queens’ was released last year and it’s impact helped him claim Best Solo Artist at the recent NME Awards.

Multi Grammy Award winning icons Earth Wind & Fire have sold over 90 million albums worldwide.  They’ve a back catalogue of classic songs such as ‘Shining Star’ and the awesome ‘Boogie Wonderland’, and a formidable live reputation - definitely one to catch at Punchestown!

Making their OXEGEN debut are The Black Keys. The Ohio two-piece’s electric blues have made them critical favourites in their native US and their forthcoming sixth studio album ‘Brothers’ is one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

The Cribs are renowned for their breathtaking live shows.  Their most recent album ‘Ignore The Ignorant’ is their most successful to date and is the first to feature new official member and former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr.

Chase & Status have been hailed as ‘the most exciting producers in the UK today’ by Pharell Williams, and the pair have been asked to remix tracks by some of the world’s hottest artists including Jay Z and The Prodigy and they also produced and co-wrote Rihanna’s fourth album.

Punk heroes The Stranglers have enjoyed a career spanning five decades.  Their hits include ‘Golden Brown’ ‘No More Heroes’ and ‘Peaches’ and they’ve recently released a new single ‘Retro Rockets’.

Completing today’s announcement are one of Ireland’s best new bands, Fox Avenue.  The Dublin three piece have a rapidly growing fan base and they’ve already supported 30 Seconds To Mars, Carolina Liar and Elliot Minor.

The line-up for this year’s OXEGEN looks set to be one of our most exciting and diverse yet with artists announced to date including global superstars Eminem, Muse, Arcade Fire, Jay-Z, The Black Eyed Peas, Kasabian, The Prodigy and loads more amazing acts.  OXEGEN returns to Punchestown from 9th-11th July (subject to licence).
