i102-104, in association with Smiles Dental Spa is running Good News Friday each and every Friday to lift the spirits of the West and North West and we want your help!
Every Friday, on each news bulletin you will hear a Good News Story and you can take part. We are on the search for your good news stories with just one catch- all press releases we receive must be about something positive.
i102-104 decided to run the initiative on a full time basis after the success of Good News Friday on 22 January, when we were inundated with calls, text messages and press releases.
We aim to make you SMILE each Friday with the sole purpose of Good News Friday to harness the power of positive thinking to counteract the current mood of doom and gloom.
"In the midst of the downturn many positive news stories are completely ignored because there is so much bad news about. So we have set the West and North West a challenge- we want people to look at their business or organisation, identify some good news, however small, and send out a positive message to the world about it.

Details will be announced in the coming days.
The hospital has begun to review x rays which were done between 2005 and 2009 - 14,000 patients, have yet be told if there is a question mark over theirs.

Up to three thousand foreign couples here are caught up in a diplomatic row after being told their marriages aren't legal.
The problem started when the General Register Office announced that marriages performed at embassies by diplomats aren't recognised under Irish law.
Officials wrote to the embassies saying that unless the marriage was performed by an authorised registrar, and took place in a registered building open to the public, it didn't count.
The new guidelines cover all marriages since November 2007.
Move over “all- singing and all-dancing” talent shows, the search is on to find the West’s Sexiest Man.
Forget the Rose of Tralee or Mary from Dungloe, it is time for the hot blooded sexy guys from the west to take a bow and receive the recognition they deserve.
Competition organisers, leading menswear brand Remus Uomo and
i102-104, are looking to hear from guys aged between 18 and 40 who are stylishly cool and true trendsetters.
It could be the guy next door, the local postman or the bin man- now is the time to nominate the west’s sexy hunks for the chance to win an all expenses paid trip to the Italian Grand Prix.

Launching the competition in Galway was Apprentice star, 'the Breffmeister', Breffny Morgan who hinted his former colleague should win the prize; " The sexiest man I can think of myself would be Stephen Higgins so lots of muscle and tight fitting suits!" Breffny added that if that did not work out, he had another suggestion as to who should win the crown; "Maybe some of my rowing friends will apply from my days in Galway."
The finalists will be selected by public vote and will be announced at a gala launch party in the Eyre Square Centre in March.
You can send your nominations to www.i102104.ie/sexiest man.
