Josh hails from Tuam in Co. Galway where he attended St. Jarlath’s college, grew his hair long, listened to Metal and started a band. Along with that he edited his college magazine, giving him an insatiable lust for having his daft musical opinions published.
One day he heard that some radio bunch were holding a talent search to recruit staff for their station, following which he was eventually offered a chance to present iTest, a new music show in which he’d play music and people would respond and interact, aiming to build a base of listeners who are open minded to all styles of music and always willing to tell him what they really think. So if you’ve heard this really cool band and want people to know about them give him a shout!
Hypem.com The Hype Machine, it’s a blog acumulator or something, hard to explain, check it out!
Roisindubh.net The best music venue in the west, and I’m not saying that because I live next door, I live next door because I’m saying that
galwayFLUX.com A new blog from a few of us kids around Galway village that like music, download iTest sessions for free

iTest is all about music. So if we’re going to talk, it’s going to be about music, ya? We’ve done specials on Oxegen, Electric Picnic, The Choice Music Prize, SXSW, Remixes, Indie Christmas Music and more music related nonsense. Every so often if we have studio sessions and interviews, recently we’ve talked to and played with Fight Like Apes, The Mighty Stef, Messiah J And The Expert, Dan le Sac Vs. Scroobius Pip, Alabama Three and more.
iTest is three hours of new music, it’s fun, it’s relaxed, it’s a show for anyone who loves keeping up to date in the music world but don’t have hours each week to trawl through Myspace, The Hype Machine, Blogs, papers, magazines, venue listings etc. Anything goes for three hours, don’t expect to hear the top 30 hits, do expect the best up and coming indie, hip hop, electro and more, underground or mainstream, if it’s good. It gets played. Of course, I can’t listen to everything that comes out so if you’ve come across a new band you think deserves a bit of radio attention, or if you’re in a band e-mail me and fill me in!
