Fergal D'Arcy's Profile

Fergal DArcyBefore arriving at i102104, Fergal studied Journalism and Irish in DIT. During his time there he was editor of the DIT Independent and winner of the Oxygen SMEDIA Award for best News and Current Affairs radio production. From there he moved to CLAREFM where he spent time both producing and presenting a variety of programs.

Now D'Arcy presents I GO HOME, the drive-time show on i102104. This show, like D’Arcy, is similar to an episode of Desperate Housewives: eternally creating controversy garnished in humour and sprinkled with the best music mix around.

“YOU’RE SOOOOOOOO SOUND’’ Fergal D’Arcy

     Spider men            Ferg and Pete

When you have no expectations or standards . . . how can you go wrong!

iGoHome with Fergal D'Arcy and Pete Ganley; face it, you've gone home with worse..

About the show

I GO HOME with Fergal D’Arcy is three hours of high octane radio madness.  Imagine a nude circus, in a very small room swinging cats and speaking in tongues of fire . . . well we’re nothing like that.

In less bizarre terms, I GO HOME, is a listener driven show where everything and anything is welcome. Joined by his right hand man Peter Ganley, this show is sure to send you home with a smile.

To date Peter and Fergal have ventured all over the west to meet their listeners and even managed to pick up the 2008 PPI Award for Best Light Entertainment Programme.

Both Fergal and Peter pride themselves on reinventing radio whilst trying to keep control of the temper mental gnome, George Porkchop (50% temper and 50% mental).

I GO HOME proudly features hot topics and current affairs so if you’re talking about it, so are we!

So pop along and join the I GO HOME ARMY 4-7 p.m. weekdays, Monday to Thursday...

From the show . . .

Since its birth in 2007 I GO HOME with Fergal D’Arcy, has brought childish sniggers, gruff giggles and pure unsaturated madness to the airwaves.  The show appeals to all ages and you can always be guaranteed copious amounts of wild banter, George Porkchop’s post-modern singing and the odd bit of controversy aswell.
